A few good questions
Simple answers.
Before your first call.
How DeskPerson fits your business, what it handles, and how you stay in control.
Which businesses is DeskPerson for?
DeskPerson is designed for home and field service businesses with inbound calls: from repairs and inspections to recurring property care. We discuss your workflow and confirm onboarding availability individually.
Do I need a new phone system?
You can usually keep your published number through supported call forwarding. We check your carrier, phone system, routing options, and fallback before activation. The public demo does not change your phone setup.
Is DeskPerson replacing my office staff?
DeskPerson gives your team backup for the calls they cannot get to. Your office stays in control of the Playbook, handoffs, and follow-up.
Will it sound like my business?
Your greeting, services, answers, voice, and call-handling rules come from your approved DeskPerson Playbook. You hear and test it before live activation.
What happens when someone asks for a person?
Your Playbook defines the requested handoff and fallback. Transfers must be configured and tested before activation; otherwise the assistant captures a callback request for the office.
How does it handle emergencies?
Your business defines the emergency rules and escalation contacts. DeskPerson follows those rules and records the result. It does not invent technical diagnoses.
Can it book appointments?
Appointment requests are the starting point. Direct booking requires a supported connection, correct availability, and a successful booking test for your business before activation. A preferred time alone is not a confirmed appointment.
What if a connected service fails?
The failure stays visible, and your team receives the appropriate next action. Phone routing needs a configured fallback so an AI failure does not become a business-phone failure.
What does the founding offer include?
The founding offer is $500 setup, followed by a seven-day live pilot. If you continue, it is $497 per month with 250 live AI minutes and $0.89 per additional minute.
When does the monthly subscription begin?
The seven-day pilot begins when DeskPerson is live. At the end, you review the results and decide whether to continue. The monthly subscription begins if you continue; the setup payment remains earned.
What happens if I do not continue?
DeskPerson routing is disabled after the pilot if you decline. Your original phone setup remains the basis of your business calls. The setup fee covers the implementation work.
Are calls recorded?
Recording is configurable. Your business controls the applicable disclosure and retention settings. The call record can include the transcript, summary, and actions even when audio recording is disabled.
Who can see my business data?
Customer records are separated by business and protected through server-side permissions. Internal access must be authorized and audited.
